Book TV This Weekend, Two Dougs

August 1, 2009

Based on our circulation here at the Library, we think you might be interested in a couple of programs on Book TV (on your CSPAN2 channel) this weekend:

Douglas Brinkley, author of The Wilderness Warrior: Theodore Roosevelt and the Crusade for America–Part One, will be talking about Roosevelt’s contribution to the early days of the conservation movement at 6 p.m. Saturday evening.
Doug Stanton, author of Horse Soldiers: The Extraordinary Story of a Band of U.S. Soldiers Who Rode to Victory in Afghanistan, talks about U.S. Special Forces soldiers who achieved one of the early victories for the U.S. following the invasion of Afghanistan on Sunday at 10 p.m.
