Children’s Book Week is November 12-18th!

November 8, 2007

Since 1919, Children’s Book Week has been celebrated the week before Thanksgiving by educators, librarians, booksellers and families. A celebration of the written word, Children’s Book Week introduces young people to new authors and ideas. For more information, visit the Children’s Book Council at their website: http://www.cbcbooks.org/cbw/history.html
The Essex Library will celebrate Children’s Book Week with a very special CONTEST!!!
All children visiting the Library November 12-18th will have a chance to guess how many books are in the Children’s Room AND they can vote for their favorite book. There will be special forms to fill out and drop into a voting box. If you are unable to get to the Library that week, e-mail your responses to us: jmccann@essexlib.org The three children with the closest guesses will each win a book. Also, the top five favorite books will be listed in the December Librar-E-Lations and will be on display in the Children’s Room. Good Luck !
