New Releases On Book TV

Book TV can be seen on weekends from Saturday 8a.m. to Monday 8a.m. on CSpan2. This weekend authors of new books are scattered throughout the schedule. On Saturday, at 11a.m., Edwidge Danticat will talk about “Brother, I’m Dying” the story of her uncle, a Baptist minister, who fled to the US from Haiti in 2004, was imprisoned by Homeland Security and died in custody. At noon on Saturday, Matthew Brzezinski, author of “Red Moon Rising” will participate in a roundtable discussion on the 50th anniversary of the Sputnik launch. At 9p.m., Naomi Klein, author of “The Shock Doctrine” will be interviewed. At 10p.m., author Jeffrey Toobin will discuss his latest book: “The Nine : inside the secret world of the Supreme Court”
