Author Steve Berry Loves Libraries

March 2, 2007

Steve Berry, author of the new bestseller “The Alexandria Link” about the great ancient Library of Alexandria is a big fan of libraries. In fact, he is the chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Camden County Library System in Georgia where he resides.

In an interview with the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Berry spoke about the Alexandrian Library: “…was ahead of its time and its loss was unimaginable.” “The atomic theory was actually first conceived at Alexandria 2,000 years ago, but it would be centuries before it was ‘rediscovered’ by another inquisitive mind. Where would human technology be today if that first spark had not been extinguished?” “The Alexandria Link discusses an intriguing possibility regarding one of the manuscripts that the library housed. “We know it was in the library from references in other surviving texts. If it survived and resurfaced, the geopolitical world, as we know it, could radically change.”

Other Berry bestsellers include: “The Templar Legacy”, “The Amber Room”, “The Third Secret” and “The Romanov Prophecy”.
