Annually, Essex Savings Bank’s Community Investment Program gives back 10% of their after-tax net income to non-profits and community development projects in the communities they serve. Customer voting takes place during the month of February and the first two weeks of March each year. Customers of the Bank may vote for their favorite causes and directly affect the allocation of funds. Please use your vote for the Essex Library!
The Friends Need Your Favorite Recipes!

Calling All Cooks!—and non-cooks with favorite recipes! The Friends of the Essex Library is putting together a community cookbook and they need your help…and your recipes. If you have a favorite recipe, they are looking for recipes in every category– appetizers, salads, main dishes, desserts, breads, kid’s recipes, light dishes, and drinks. Please include a special story or something of interest about your recipe. You may send as many recipes as you wish. Please remember to give proper credit to your recipe. For instance: As seen in Gourmet Magazine, April, 2003 (page number would be wonderful if you have it) or, from my favorite aunt–Hepsobah Beckman, Hanover, New Hampshire. Also, please provide your contact information in case of any questions. Your participation is appreciated in this special community project.
